The Countdown Continues: Day 19: Day 11 of Dallas County Shelter in Place

Yesterday was a busy day, yet I had no sense of accomplishment when the day was over.  I was constantly doing something, but I did not get the things that I wanted to get done started, much less finished.  I did not get the rest of my posts moved out here, but I am starting today, as planned, writing from here vs Facebook.

Welcome to my blog.  Thus far, what I have primarily used the blog for was to put all of my writing to date in a single place.  I still have a few more items to move here.  They come from notebooks and journals and sometimes scraps of paper or scribbles on napkins.  Depends on where I was when I wrote whatever I wrote.  I have focused on Poetry, and I have a lot to add to it in the way of Favorite Photography (that is a matter of really being picky as I take thousands of pictures sometimes when traveling), and a few more short stories that I still want to get out there.

I kept everything I wrote to myself for a very long time.  But as I got older, some people that were older and wiser than myself encouraged me to let other people into my brain, into my world.  No no no I declared.  I am not doing that, it is filled with silliness, and imperfection, and pain, and sometimes just stupidity.  I am not exposing myself in that way.  Yes yes yes they declared.  It will be good for you.  And it will help people to know more about you when you are no longer on this earth.

So that is what I have done.  My hope for this year is to get maybe my top 20 photos of all time posted.  Not trying for more than that - will take me forever to decide on those.  Then I have a few more short stories I want to get out here.  And finally, I hope to be able to get maybe a blog a week out here.  Perhaps I can manage some other themes for Poetry aside from how I feel about people and relationships.  Definitely that has always been an outlet for me there.  LOL.  Read with caution.  I have tried to note what part of my life each was written during if I know.

For today, like yesterday, it is short and sweet.  I got up super late and have to get cranking on work!  Many deadlines today.  Happy Friday!
