Weekend Edition 1 - Day 48

This photography Edition is a two parter featuring some of my favorite photos from an Alaskan cruise I went on.

These shots are from Glacier Bay:

Nothing to see here.
Just some birds congregating on some floating ice.

It was June and the bay was full of activity.

I do love to try and capture birds in flight and this one was very obliging.  Flew right in front of me floating on the currents multiple times.

Mt Fairweather at 15300 feet towered above the band of clouds.
The Fairweather Range of hills which the Johns Hopkins and Margerie Glaciers which are located beneath them.

Was very cool just seeing a bald eagle hanging out in the bay.  I wish I had been closer!

These are from Prince William sound.

And I am not sure which of the Glaciers this is.  Almost ten years later it does not look the same when I try to look it up!

The highlight of my day was seeing a PUFFIN!!!  I really really wish I had been close enough to get a close up of her face!

This waterfall from the melt off  caught my eye,

WHALES tomorrow.  After I sort through the footage!
