What have you always loved about it being Friday? I think we need to construct new lists for the times we are in.
What Friday currently means to me:
1. Payday - that is always a good thing
2. Last day to have to sign on to my remote desktop for a few days
3. Fun Friday Shirt Day (Today is Hawaiian)
4. Super Saturday/Sunday List Day (Whatever will I do THIS weekend??)
That list only took me two days to construct (Not really). It is why my post is late this morning. (Not really either, but it sounded good.) Yeah - Friday's are just not the same. I miss my friends. I miss a lot of things.
Despite all of that, the slow-down has NOT been a bad thing for me personally. I was running through my life on high, slowing down for very little. Cramming as much as I could into each and every day. This has given me time to think through what I want my life to be like when we are allowed to return to the things we used to do. I do not really know what that life will look like for me yet, but I do know that I will not be on the same path as I was on before this all happened. This event created forks for all of us - we get to choose which path we will follow now. Choose wisely.
I look forward to those choices.
Have a great Friday - whatever it brings to you. I know many people are off, celebrating Good Friday, Easter, and other events this weekend. I wish you all joy and peace.
A sometimes irreverent but thoughtful look at the world, as filtered by my heart, soul, and imagination. The death of my friend Cindy Graeff caused an epiphany or two for me regarding blogging. "Holy Hell" was a favored expression of Cindy's and used in a wide variety of situations. I decided at some point that it just fit. Many thanks to her for the smile it will always bring to my heart.
